We are not changing what happened,
we are changing the way it lives in us.

*ART Sessions are between 90-120 min

The cost of counselling can get in the way of accessing skillful and effective therapy for many people.

My fees take this into account and I strive to make counselling and supervision more accessible.

In my practice, I offer a reduced session rate for those who need counselling supports but find finances to be

a significant barrier to accessing ongoing mental health care.

In therapy, transparency and vulnerability show up in our sessions all of the time.

Money is another, often vulnerable area, where we can have an open and transparent conversation.

Please do not hesitate to speak with me if you need to discuss your current fee plan.

About Me

I've had the privilege of walking alongside children, teens, adults and families as a therapist for 20 years.

My counselling practice is informed by a compassionate, integrative, and person-centered approach with a focus on understanding that development and the many experiences and identities we hold make up who we are and who we are becoming.

What does this mean for counselling? It means I prioritize understanding your life world - your experiences, values, stories, and perspective - over my understanding or interpretation. It means that I commit to create a space of empathy, non-judgment and openness for you to explore concerns, changes or growing edges of life. I recognize we are always in development and that experiences across our life span are an important part of understanding the unique challenges and hopes in our lives.

I am an approved member of the Association of Counselling Therapists of Alberta (Counselling Therapist). I am also a Canadian Certified Counsellor (CCC) holding a certification in Therapeutic Play and certification in Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART). I currently serve as the Director of the Children's Grief Centre leading a dynamic team of clinicans.

I was born and raised in Kansas City, moving to Canada to attend the University of Calgary in 2000. I often say the USA birthed me but Canada raised me. I live in Calgary with my partner, two teenagers and an ongoing love-hate relationship with winter. I love heat, humidity, my back porch swing, dystopian novels, trips to the ocean, Founders palomas, and our family's beloved Cavapoo.

“Our deepest calling is to grow into our own authentic self-hood, whether or not it conforms to some image of who we ought to be.

As we do so, we will not only find the joy that every human being seeks--we will also find our path of authentic service in the world.”
